GOP Congressman says evolution and big bang are "lies straight from the pits of Hell." He's on the House Science Committee, because of course he is
Organized religion is just awful. Its holding us back from our true potential as a race of humans. It holds everything back.
HAHA of COURSE it’s Paul Broun (R-GA!):
“You see, there are a lot of scientific data that I’ve found out as a scientist that actually show that this is really a young Earth,” he said. “I don’t believe that the Earth’s but about 9,000 years old. I believe it was created in six days as we know them. That’s what the Bible says.”
Can we get his medical license revoked? (yes, in even more astounding news, this whackadoo is an MD.)
And, as long as I’m wishing for things, I’d love to see a media push where every Tea Party congressman is asking “so you don’t think government works…why are you running for office? Are you just a lazy asshole looking for a sinecure where you get great benefits and a six-figure salary for reciting talking points from Limbaugh’s radio show?”
