haveabananana:

meow-sense:

thecranium:

HR specialists say boomer parents are advocating on behalf of young adult children, calling up to negotiate better benefits, protest a poor evaluation, etc. NPR seeks to interview people about this. Employers - have you experienced it? Parents - if you’ve…

Really?

I’ve heard tales of this (and not just Boomer parents) for years but never any first- or even second-hand examples. Which makes me think it’s a grown-up/workplace version of “rainbow parties.” An amusing, and outlandish story, but not a true one. Hopefully NPR gets to the bottom of it.

About

Avatar Not technically old enough to be a curmudgeon, but I give it my best shot. Also, I hate pants.

If Excerpts From A Work In Progress is the long, involved Love Affair (or Marriage, if you will), Shorter Excerpts is One-Night Stand: quicker, sometimes meaningless, sometimes awkward, sometimes really fucking good. Also, there's more dick jokes.
