I just overheard someone say “My first computer was a Pentium 4 with 512 MB of RAM. My iPhone is better than that!”
The first computer I ever built was an AMD 486 DX2. The first computer I used? I think it was a Tandy or a Wang.
Oi. That takes me back…
My first system was a 386sx 25Mhz (because only people who use AutoCad need a DX co-processor). It also had a cavernous large 128mb hard drive.
All this nerd hardware talk is making me hot.
It was a gigantic IBM machine running MS-DOS, and I think it was at least a 386 because it did have enough oomph to run Prince of Persia when that came out a few years later (though it did not have the smaller, 3.5 disk drive, on the big, and truly floppy 5-1/2.)
